How much of what we do is due to the environment we are in?
Environmental design is huge when it comes to creating and enforcing good habits and breaking and avoiding bad habits. But can anyone be put in to the optimal environment and see results?
At what point does pure intrinsic motivation become the factor that determines one’s ceiling vs one’s floor?
Furthermore, how can technology be used to create an environment that is conducive towards accountability? and consistency? and “showing up” every day?
This last question is particularly intriguing to me (and I also think a technology based tool or answer can be created).
